TAFNEL OILBLOTTER, developed by Mitsui Chemicals Inc., is a powerful
oil adsorbent material composed of nonwoven polypropylene. It works
wonderfully in handling oil-spills and accidents, such as oil spills
and leakage, minimizing the damage to the environment. Listed below are
some of the primary ways which TAFNEL OILBLOTTER can be effectively
used in various situations, from large-scale oil- spills and machine
oil leakages to the removal of oil from waste water.

Adsorption Strength of 10 times its weight and greater |
Won't sink in water |
Absorbs practically no moisture |
Advanced form stability |
No release of toxic gases when burned |
One box (17kg) of TAFNEL OILBLOTTER (BL-65) with an adsorption strength of 170kg is capable
of adsorbing one oil drum, or 200 liters, worth of oil.
※Adsorption amounts vary by product and oil type.

Material's relative density of 0.9 keeps it afloat.
Material's polypropylene fibers have advanced lipophilicity (oil-friendly) and hydrophobic
(oil-resistant) properties. Moreover, advanced "water-oil exchange strength" means that
adsorbed water will expel any moisture that may have seeped between the fibers.
Long fibers provide high level of form rigidity, and since the material of TAFNEL OILBLOTTER
contains no adhesive, there is no sticky feeling during operation.
Incineration temperature for kerosene and light oil is approx. 910℃.
※Use products properly in accordance with the particular properties and characteristics of
oil type concerned.
